A downtown neighbor of ours complimented us on how our community seems like such a tight-knit group that I thought I would share some of the fun activities we host right here at Third Rail Lofts! Our most popular event would have to be our Sunday night Potlucks. We have many residents that could actually be gourmet chefs and this is a good way for them to share their favorite dish with their neighbor. We have also had Chili Cook-Offs & Dessert Contests that were so much fun! We have a monthly resident party which we will have anywhere from 50 – 75 residents come out for. This week we will have singer/songwriter Nathan Clewell on the terrace serenading the residents with his wonderful acoustic guitar skills and food provided by Downtowns local favorite taco joint Saboro’s. We will also have a great selection of beers & wines from all around the world! Most of our events are hosted on our 9th floor amenity deck. The amenity deck perches over Main & Elm Street and features an outdoor movie theater, fire pit, private dog walk, swimming pool & spa as well as a cabana bar with a grilling area. It’s a perfect place to relax after a long day of work. This is the time of year that you can always find residents sipping on a glass of wine around the cabana bar and some residents have even been brave enough to take a dive in the swimming pool! Another favorite activity that we offer is our Tuesday night free Yoga class on the terrace. And right now with the Dallas Maverick’s in the playoffs, we always make sure to have the games on the big screen outside on the terrace.
A few of our other popular events that we offer are our “Breakfast on the Go” which we provide breakfast for you as you are on your way out the door to work. Our Craft Nights have been very popular! We teach you how to make fun hip crafts! We have movie nights every Tuesday and we feature a new DVD release in our 25 seat theater. We provide the popcorn and candy, you bring your favorite beverage! Last Sunday we had Yogurt from Pinkberry & Mimosas on the terrace. It was so refreshing and the weather was perfect!
Most all of our events the residents continue to hang out after the parties end and it’s fun to see them all leave together to grab dinner or scroll across the street together to catch a band play at the City Tavern.
